Watch Description

Mov't 6BK seven jewel Swiss, stamped "49". Runs beautifully. Case is 10K RGP s/n I449120. I think it's a "Rona". Looking through the ads, the 1949 Rona case doesn't have the engraved detail on the sides of the crystal, but the 1950 case does, and it is mentioned in the ad copy (https://mybulova.com/sites/default/files/vintage_ads/bulova-ad-1950-8.j…).

A black or brown leather cord style bracelet with yellow metal clasp will be added at a later date.

What great condition the watch is in. I have to agree with the Rona ID. Once you add on the cord band, we could further add a variant of "A".

Very nice example.  Both the snake band and cord band are easy to get on eBay so it could go "D" or "A" depending on how you go with it.

I put it on a black leather cord band with yellow metal clasp. My wife approved. 

Thank you for verifying my guess as to the model, but I still think it's a 1950 case based on the engraving on the sides. 

I really like these little mechanical marvels.

The case serial number actually dates your watch to 1948 (Kathy please confirm) and the movement to 1949, so 1949 seems the more appropriate date.

The engraved version was also likely to exist in 49.

Based on the I serial number updating this to 1948.

1948 Bulova Rona is a good match.
