Well, my recent out of bound post I realized that I had a different version of the "nurse's" watch already in my collection. Mine is missing the second hand which is why it didn't really come to mind quickly. I knew this was an American Nurse, but was not aware of the special 7ADC movement to power the centered sweep second hand. Ive kept this one back to get fixed up and give to my sister who has been a nurse in Detroit Michigan for, geez, must be 30 yrs now. I think after looking at it, and knowing I would have to source a new set of hands along with the, most likely rare, seconds hand, I may just leave this one be and look for a nice existing example like the one I lost out on the other day.
Anyways, 1949 American Nurse. 7ADC 15j swiss mvmnt. missing the second hand. possibly has the original strap. and a fairly low case number … 0000862. #862 of how many I wonder?
i see others in the database similar, but no '49s
Bulova American Nurse. The first '0' in the case serial number probably means 1950.
