Received this as a hand down from my father. Looks like a mens watch, although he claimed it was my grandmothers probably due to the size. Appears to be a 1946 Douglas with a Brunswick face. On the inside backcase corner are the numbers 091039 hand engraved and under the Bulova New York stamp there appears to be another hand engraving which I can't make out but appears to be the number 14 followed by a couple letters. Any additional info/help with ID is appreciated.
Thanks!
Certainly looks like the Engineer case, but that ad shows a distinct outer track on the dial and what appear to be dots/squares in place of some of the numerals, which the subject was does not have. Have to go with Unknown at this time
First of all, thank you everyone for their input. This is really great! Since I can't figure how to attach the ad in my post here, I will let you know the 1946 Brunswick spanish ad on this website titled Bulova ahora-y siempre is the exact face of my watch. Also, the 1946 Douglas ad here would indicate this as a Douglas "B" watch. My watch does say 10k gold on the case. Your thoughts?
In reply to First of all, thank you by bvnewbee
If you email me the advert I can attach to this post.
I have almost the identical watch, so I don't know if the "this one and that one" theory holds up. I have seen some deweys, douglas, and his excellency models that are very similar.

I'm still at Unknown, but hopefully time will tell us more...
Here’s one very much like this one that was ID’d as a Douglas. Same year and movement.
