Set in a slightly curved rectangular 10k Gold Filled Bezel and case back, this watch has a distinctive design with a straight raised bar at either end above the inboard lugs. The bars extend over the edges of the case giving the appearance of studs when viewed from the side. It cannot be determined if these bars were originally yellow or contrasting white gold due to wear factor. Face is the salmon colour, with gold studs at all locations except 12 which is a straight bar and 6 which has the sub second rectangle (hand missing). Hands are blued and in the "Index" style. Crown is missing. Movement is 8AE 17 Jewels and with the "asterisk" date code.Rear case is 10k Gold Filled with serial # 1212039 on one end, and Bulova 10k Gold Filled on the other. Inside is standard Bulova 5th Ave New York engraving. There are several others like this one in the Unknown files , one of which has "modern" style hands, but all are as yet "Unknown"
I have spent hours look for this model since we have quite a few in the Unknown list. Seems like it was a popular model but we have been unable to locate an ad to confirm a model name. 1941 Bulova Unknown .
Sorry, I'm in the same boat.
1941 Bulova Unknown for now.
