American Girl Bulova watch in original green display box estimated to be manufactured in 1928 or 1938 based on case serial number 8009326. Gold 10k filled case with owner's initials "EK"? engraved on back of case. Also stamped Bulova with possible shield or triangle mark on back of case. One small diamond at top and another at bottom of front of watch in silver mounting. Extra links for Ensign 1/20 12 KT gold filled watch band. Believed to have belonged to paternal grandmother.

You don't need to have a jeweller take the watch apart, only pop off the back case. Something relatively easy and quick to do. A good jeweller should do it for free as they really aren't doing any work. Even someone experience with replacing watch batteries would have the tool to pop off the back. You can then take a clear photo of the movement and post here.
Knowing the movement details will help us to determine the correct model name for your watch..
Bulova did this kind of thing with many of their watches which makes IDing tricky if we don't know all the details.
If you are unable have the case opened, then I agree with Geoff that we ID as the lower jewelled model.
