After 15 years of looking and hoping that one day I'd find the right watch at the right price, I finally managed to buy this amazing piece to add to my Lone Eagle collection.
It cleaned up exceptional well, having gone without a service or clean for many years. It looks like it hasn't had much wrist time in the last 85 years, as everything about this watch looks and feels almost new, even the original 1/20th 12K Gold Filled B/R bracelet. There is no wear on the case, even though the photos seem to show it, it's just dark reflection spots.
The entire watch spent a few hours at a day spa getting a complete disassembly, clean and polish. Regulator centered and popped back in without any adjustment and it's basically kept time the entire day of wearing. The movement is also in amazing condition, with what looks to be very minor service wear which is typically seen on the screws.
Interesting to note that the movement does not have a date stamp....well not one that I could find anyway.
I'm really please to be able to add this this watch to my Lone Eagle collection of timepieces and am frilled to be able to share this amazing example of a 1937 Bulova Lone Eagle with the community.

I have to admit that every time I'm able to add a watch it's a special occasion for me.
Being in Australia it's not very often I can buy a watch and when I do it has to be something special...to me.
I've had this watch on the wrist now for two days, and I have to say I'm really enjoying it. It looks great when peaking out of a shirt cuff and jacket.
This thing was stripped down within 1 hour of being unpacked. I'd really like to thank the seller of this fine watch which is now my privileged to own.
It's still keeping time after 2 days!!!
