Watch Description

This is what I believe to be a La Fayette.   It is a plain bezel with etching on the side.   It has arabic numbers that are lumed.  It has cathederal hands but the hour hand is the wrong replacement hand.

the material is 14k white gold or stainless steel, there is some mark on the outside of the case

My guess is stainless steel.   There are no marks on the back  or anywhere where it states it is called filled or plated   .

I believe BULOVA QUALITY was how they marked rolled gold in this time period.  I will have to find where I have read that.

The case is 14K White Gold Filled (Rolled Gold) and not stainless steel.

Can you confirm that there is no engraving on the front bezel on the front sides. It might just be the photo or slight dings in the case that look like engraving.

The bezel is smooth without engraving.   The only engraving is on the side of the case.
