This is a 1930 Bulova I recently acquired. It runs although I don't know how accurate it is. I mainly got it because I didn't have one with a 13 movement. Not sure which model it is. I didn't find one in the data base like it.

That's a pretty clear ad and I don't see a ridge either.

Based on the ads we have, It appears to me that ridged case is indeed Dewey, and smooth is Lafayette. We should consider revisiting Lafayettes and reevaluate them. For subject watch, I'm still at Dewey

I agree.  Dewey with raised sides and Lafayettes without.
