This watch was my husband's father. It no longer ticks and a jeweler said it is missing the pin. Any information on this watch would be appreciated.
This might be an Apollo model, here is a link to another similar on this site that was undetermined so listed as Unknown (updated to Apollo - admin)

Hello Kimmiesue, welcome to myBulova. I am a huge fan of heirloom watches as they are such personal items. I think your husband is very fortunate to have this wonderful keepsake from his father. These old watches are not terribly expensive to have repaired, often they just need to cleaned and oiled. Depending on where you live, we might be able to recommend a qualified watchmaker.
The watch Dave and Camille (daca102090) linked to is the same as your husband's. I think bobbee had it right in that thread and that both yours and their watch are the Apollo model. Here's another link, this one to Jaroslav's watch that show the type of hand your husband's watch probably had originally. These hands are readily available and could be obtained from a couple different members here. If your husband really wanted the full treatment, his watch could have the dial repainted as new with the lume (glow in dark) added to both the numerals on this dial and the replacement hands.

Thanks for sharing it.
PS - I'll update daca's watch to Apollo and reapply the link above
This is a great website!!! Really enjoying all these comments and information you are providing. Thank you. It's great to look at other watches that are similar and amazing to see the exact watch I have. Not sure what happened to the original hands and why they were replaced. The original hands would really dress up the face because it is very plain. However, I would like to keep it in its original condition at this time.
The the man I took the watch to was a certified watchmaker in business for 38 years. He said the pin was missing from one of the gears and movement while wearing it causes it to come off, and no guarantee how long it would last. Needless to say, I did not leave the watch for repair and I won't be back, lol.
Dear Kimmiesue,
As a Restorer of Fine Vintage Bulova Watches I have never heard a Watchmaker make a comment like this. He may have mean't missing the stem in which the crown attaches but I see that intact. Finding replacement of these Movements takes patience but not impossible. Once you know the exact Model of the Movement which the Watchmaker should of listed on your Receipt / Invoice then you can search EBay I would suggest for a "running" duplicate Movement. Then you can take it back to the Watchmaker for installation. A pin can be anything! Normally a pin term is also used for the which the Band is attached at the Lugs. Be prepared to pay $$$ for a complete restoration of the Movement. I find it cheaper to find a working movement to replace broken one.
Best of Luck
