Dear Shelton, your watch is an unknown sports watch from 1928. Bulova introduced sports watches for the first time in an ad of May 1st 1926. The watch in that ad was the called the Debutante. Sports watches were characterized by having leather straps and radium dials, although the second generation Debutante sports watch, already introduced one year later in an ad of 2 July 1927, was advertised without radium dial ever since. Your watch is based on this second generation Debutante. It shares the same case shape and size. Only the engraving is deviating. In total this shape came with three styles of engraving, not counting the enameled Miss America that has the same shape and size as well. The Debutante has the traditional "laurel leaf" engraving. The second type of engraving is with small rectangular blocks on the bezel. That watch is called the Rosalind. You can find a newspaper snippet on Watchophilia. The third type of engraving is like your watch, having these curly motives on the bezel. Since we know that Bulova gave a different name to the second type of engraving (Rosalind), I would go for "unknown" for your watch having the third type of engraving.
