I bought this watch Oct. 2013, just got it back today from servicing Jan. 23 2014. Beautiful multicolored enamel with no visable chips! Fitted with a green lizard band
Edit Alex: movement updated in line with picture from 6AP to 6AF
Square to the left of the stem?
That's what I thought too Mark, but I can't say it's a square for sure.
1927 'VASSAR'
Check this out. June 1930 ad calls this a Wellesley

Wow. An unusual bird for sure.
That sure is a pretty watch there Bob, interesting it went through 3 name changes is as many years, if nothing else the case serial makes it a '27 Vassar
That band really makes it pop!
Gorgeous watch Bob, I think the green strap is over the top, well done. It's a Vassar, and a fine one at that. I bet the 'green glow' of that Bulova clock puts this gal in a wonderful light!
A beauty Bob. Agreed '27 makes it a Vassar. Great ad for the 1930 Wellesley.
