This is a really beautiful watch. The case is white gold and very thin with nice engraving on bezel and case back. The dial is a gorgeous silver sunburst with engraved recessed Arabic hour markers highlighted in gold. The 17J movement is an 17P with both a circle and square date code so I used the later for the 1927 production date. The case is a BWCCo by Monarch case and appears to be 18kt gold filled but is not marked. Excellent condition. Matches this one https://admin.mybulova.com/watches/1925-470-13641 with the exception of the top toggle. The toggle could be a 1927 upgrade or was replaced which to me seems more likely.
1927 Bulova 470
Jim, can you confirm the square date code on the movement? Is there anything that might be a circle?
The previous ID was based on the notion that we only have a few 'round' pocket warch case styles.
I think we should revisit Kens and ID both your's and his as a generic pocket watch, until we can find a better match.

Yes, I indicated this in my description that it has both a circle and a square date code side by side. As for the model both are an exact match to the 470. The ad states it came in two models. One with a Fancy Engraved Dial (pictured in ad) and one without. The bezel engraving is a dead on match. Mine appears to have a replaced toggle but is an exact match to the ad and other example.
Thanks Jiim. I missed the date codes in your initial description. I am curious if the square is a true stamp, as 1924/25 seems more likely for this model. By 1927 it would have had a model name if it was still being sold as a currenty model.
I'm liking this advert which shows the description you referred to above, detailing the engraved/non-engraved dial versions.
