Janet,

If the Movement datecode is a Triangle(?) could You double check the Case seriel number, I'd suspect a mis-stamped 6.

We have nothing in the ads DB post-1924 with this case shape, the 154.http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1924-Unknown-469, so your movement may be a swap-out.

With a case SN starting with "0", this watch could and probably does pre-date 1924.

1923 ad snippet. 154 is my vote, dial, case and engraving looks to be a perfect match.

Hi Fifth Ave

I have had a close look at the case and its only the first number that is really hard to see and Yes it could be a mis stamped 6 its hard to tell, but the 0 part looks smaller than the other numbers so it could be the bottom of a 6.    The triangle is next to the click and is also very tiny - I use a magnifier head set to see most things and I can only just see it.

And Bobbee - that advertisment looks exactly like the watch I am holding.

Inside Case Back says Bulova Quality and American Standard.  Common, but now what do we do with the new field from Case Manufacturer.  Known made for Bulova by American Standard.

Note the similarities to this 1924 154, which although there is no picture of the inside case back, owner double-checked inside case back and gave all markings in the comments field.  It's American Standard only.

vote for 154 from me!

Will, I would call the case an American Standard since that's who made it, not Bulova. If someone searches the Case Manufacturer in the watch db for American Standard they are most likely looking for cases like this. Also, the Jonell case are stamped Bulova too.

Any chance of a better pic of the numbers on the inside of the case back please Janet?

I thought we had determined that Bulova owned American Standard or was even the same company?

I thought they bought the Company in the 1940's?

Good point Rob. But for Case Manufacturer searches I think they should be seperate.
