Super early solid silver Bulova mens wristwatch here. It's not mine, I was second in line on the bids, but the seller was gracious enough to allow me to use his pictures.
I wanted to capture it for the record even though I didn't get it. I believe we have a Banker in solid silver.
Based on movement date code and case back dedication; agreed it's a 1925. I don't think this is a Banker, as we have a 1925 in the database and as discussed there, the lugs are different. Lugs on subject watch don't match either the Banker or currently known number only models that I'm aware of. My guess at this point is this is a very early in the year number only model, like the solid gold 3176 , that was offered in solid gold or plate. Still looking but at this point I'm at unknown..
It certainly looks to be a match to the 3176 case style, so I suspect it'll ve something like 3175 or 3177. The gold filled versions typically were one number down and usually an 'odd' number (ie 3 or 5). So the silver may be one up.
Watch is listed as 15J, whilst the movement looks to have 17 or maybe 16.
Whist we know the model group we don't yet know the correct number, so Unknown also for now.
