19k gold filled. Still runs.
Edit Alex: completed the case serial number in line with the text below.
Looks to be a nice match for the 1924 Bulova 6511.
It's wonderful that you still have it and it is testament to the quality of a Bulova watch that it still works, although a regular service will ensure it will run for another 80+ years.
Dear Tracyellen, Beautiful watch it is with nice intricate engravings even on the sides! The watch is the 6716 that later in 1925 got a name: Princine. The 6511 that admin refers to was not perfectly rounded, you can see edges in the curves of the sides and as a result used the cut corner 6TA movement and not the oval 6PP like your model. A remark on the serial number, you say it is 309 355. When you look closely, you will find there is a number 1 before the 3, so the full serial number would be 1309355. Have a look and let us know! So, in conclusion, based on serial numbers and date code: 6716.

THANK YOU ALL so much!!! I appreciate all the valuable information you provided and really appreciate you sharing your knowledge with me. I wish I could pay you for it. One last thing, is there anyone who could recommend a place to have it serviced in the Salem, Oregon area?
