Most of the panel might question this watch and deem it non-conforming, but she was too gorgeous to pass up.
The case is a Bulova No. 6754: 18KT White Gold with Platinum top with ten (10) Sapphires and six (6) Diamonds. The inside of the case is stamped 18K. (My watch is missing one (1) Diamond at the 6 o'clock position seen in photo 2.)
The dial is not original to the watch - it was replaced at some point in time. I have since found a used dial with hands (seen in picture no. 2) to restore the watch along with replacing the diamond.
I could not let this beauty go by without restoring it, she is an absolutely gorgeous watch. The movement PPI (1922 - 1923) is purring like a kitten. My cost was 135.65 for the watch.
Dear TexasLady, your watch is the 6754. I have seen two case signatures of this watch: one of MP and one of American Standard. I am curious to hear what case signature your watch has. A picture would be helpful, otherwise a precise description of all the text stamped inside. Do I understand correctly that the movement inside is a PPI but it has a dial that is not Bulova as in picture 1? A PPI or 6PPI would indeed be the correct movement for this model. The correct dial would have the "tonneau" shape minute marker as used in the all cases with this shape and also as seen in the ad of this watch but not as your movement in picture 2. It would be certainly worth the while to restore the watch!

I'm happy for this watch to be entered as a 6754 despite the dial as I suspect these didn't vary a great deal, if at all.
With regards to the dial, the best one to match the original style of the time will be an (what I call) exploding number dial as shown in the advert above. They will be a little trickier to find but true the the origainality of the watch.
Member Reverend Robs' explaination of MP inside the caseback.
'The marking 18 MP k is Swiss, "Méttaux (ch) Précieux SA". Indicating 18k gold.'
