purchased on ebay for $8.33. crystal missing, dial really dirty, hands jammed together, missing the
roman numeral 3. Case is 14k gold filled. I cleaned it and bought crystal it,now it runs great. So far I
have not been able to find out the year, Bulova W.Co HI. thin 5adj #2352 17 jewels.
You have a picture of the case signature? You mention iT is a case from "Star"?
This would date to the early 1920s. Seeing that case details might help, but thinking a Hudson Maxim at the moment. Serial number suggests 1925, but doubt that's correct.
That's an amazing buy at that price!!!!
I just joined, how do I add extra photos?

Thanks again for adding such an early Bulova pocket watch. Please send your additional photos to admin@mybuova.com and I'll add them to the watch listing.
case number 5414565 SWC co 14k gold filled
Thanks, based on it being Star Watch Case Co, the 5 in the serial number doesn't neccessarily mean 1925 which is good as the date of the watch would pre-date that IMO.
It's hard to put an axact year on this other than to say its probably either 1920, 1921 or 1922.
Here is another Bulova Hudson Maxim with a H1 Thin movement. Serial number is close.
I have a caseless H1 Thin, that I'll need to check the serial number of.
it is marked HI not H1
Hello Brucefrench, welcome to myBulova. This is a nice old survivor pocket watch. I'm leaning toward Hudson Maxim as well. Manufacture is difficult to establish pre 1925, I'm comfortable with 1920.
