I'd be willing to go with a tentative Accuquartz Day-Date for now. "Anniversary" has to be verified through documentation as being such.

Hi Old Ticker
Mistakenly I initially thought the text was Spanish (how's that for Anglo Spanish/French relations!) But to answer you question yes that is the advert. Does anyone have any ideas as to the text in smaller print?

All
I spoke to my father tonight regarding the watch. He said that Bulova released 100 watches to approved dealers to celebrate 100 years of Bulova. As my father bought several Bulova's the dealer did not keep the watch but offered it for sale to my Father.

Yep that's the ad from the PDF Dune emailed me.  I am trying to enhance resolution for the text part, but it looks like OT has the same source resolution as I got out of the PDF.  I stretched the watch part a bit.

I'm good with 1975 Accuquartz Centenary for model ID.

Am I seeing an N4 date code on the movement? Also wondering....if they only made a few of this model and sold only to dealers, why would they need an advertisement for it...unless the ad confirms this rairity and mentions something to this effect...maybe not an ad for sales of this watch, but highlighting Bulova achievements by displaying this watch. Second movement pic below....but still a little blurry.

Dear Will,

I look all over the case, movement ect with the watch repairer and we couldn't find the N5 code - could it be that as its the anniversary watch they didn't date it? I took a few more pics on my iPhone. I'll download them to my PC. Do I send them to you directly or update this thread with Low res pics 150mb?
Again I was told by my Father the dealer said Bulova made 100 watches and supplied to selected dealers only. My Father was a collector and so bought the watch. My family lived in the North West of England. Do you require the dealers name?
Also could you spread any light on the numbers Case Serial No.:  3-853139 or 7579-1

Regards

Dune  We don't need dealers name...  Don't know what the caseback serial numbers mean, short of being unique for each watch, but the leading 3- could possibly relate to country of manufacture, or maybe country targeted for original sales?  ...or maybe relates to one particular Bulova factory?

The 7579-1 may be the case number or used for crystal replacement?

You can try to upload the new photos or email to me...either way.  Thanks
