Watch looks to be in very good condition, but I cannot open case. Material is stainless steel with stainless steel band marked Speidel. Serial number on watch case is 49262152. Watch is inscribed "Dad With Love 4-3-52". My own father must have bought this watch because he enjoyed both old watches and clocks. I don't know much more than that.

Plain and engraved would be one explanation. The other possibility could be white and yellow?
I'm of two minds, this is the third time I've come back. The double listing of the Tuxedo in the price list is inconsequential to me. There would be only one version of reference 38743, not one white or one gold or one variant "A" and one not, they would have had different reference numbers. We've seen a Tuxedo advert that shows an engraved watch in a gold filled case that states white or yellow. We have not however seen an advert showing that Tuxedo model unengraved. I'm a hardliner on ID without supporting advert, we can either prove it or we can't, in this case....we can't. 1951 Bulova Unknown
