New update 11/03/2011. Just received new Ladies with 6AF shield datecode which dates this to 1929.
11/03/2011 changed database to reflect 7 Jewel also in this movement model along with 15, 17, & 21 jewel.
6AF 17j Adj 1936 Square date code from a 1936 Phantom.
My 6AF has triangle date code for 1926 and the case number is 6555539 which I think matches up to 1926.

Bobbee, triangle also means 1936 as would the case serial number begining with a 6, but I would agrre with you in that the 6AF also seems to fit better with some of the 1926 models.
I have a Bulova rectangle shaped watch with hinged back cover. The serial number on movement is 125568 with a caliber number of 6AF. There is a square on the movement which I think goes with a 1926 date. Also on the movement it reads 15 jewels 4 adj. The serial number on the hinged back is 8561380. It also says Pat. June 10, 1924. Any info on this watch would be appreciated.
