Bulova 1969 Accutron SpaceView

Your watch is called an Accutron Spaceview and has the caliber 214 movement. Under the serial number on the case back is the date code consisting of a letter followed by a number. What is it? Pics are blurry and difficult to see details.

Only one problem with this spaceview, it has a 3 wire coil assy in it which Bulova was def no longer using by 1969, i can see a older 3 wire coil assy watch (pre 1967) having it's coil assy replaced with a newer 2 wire coil assy but it's strange to see a newer (post 1967) with the older 3 wire coil assy installed in it ?

According to the position of the logos, this is an earlier US made chapter ring model. The M9 is throwing me a bit, also. Does it say #2528 inside the case back?

Thanks!  Not sure I can get the case back off with normal household tools.  Any tips?  It had been sitting around the house with an dead battery.  Just replaced it this week and wore the watch for the first time.  First new person I meet immediately noticed the watch and new the details of it.  I'm new to the watch world so it was interesting to hear that he had quite the passion for older model watches as well.
