Watch Description

Clearly has radium on the dial... I'm planning on getting someone to get rid of the radium completely, will this affect the collector's value of the watch? Hopefull not as I'm not totally comfortable off the idea of it although it does looks pretty cool. Another not there is a strip of (solid?) gold on the back inscribed by hand F.E.B. interesting! Inside of the case back says 1927... I think this resembles the President model but doesn't share the same engraving on the sides!

Your watch is Garfield of the year 1929 with movement from 1928, we have a few of similar watches in the database

Hello Spartcom5, welcome to myBulova. The I agree with Jaroslav, the watch is a Garfield model, a nice one at that. I think the gold strip on the case back is applied aftermarket and not original.

If I remove the radium but not redial the watch will I be losing collector value at all? Would like to have it relumed like it looked when it first did, but with safer material of course!
