Unknown Date (1930?) Arline? Bulova Ladies Watch 14K white gold inside back case = 0084010 - Bulova Quality Filled - Fifteen Jewels Swiss - Bulova Watch Co - 111607 - TWO 2 ADJ - Hinged Case - no movement symbol visible
Could this be a 5P (Aurore-Villeret 9) movement? Precursor to the 5AP?
Dr Ranfft shows the following. Notice the 5AP has rounder ends like the subject.

In reply to Priscilla, 1925 ad. by bobbee
We had a couple higher resolution Pricilla ads on page two of thread, and ruled out based on case engraving....I think the Arlene ad is a good match.
Arlene from me
....but I have no idea where we stand on vote counts now as it's changed possible names as new ads are placed in the thread....
If We use the Case Serial number entered by the Watch Owner We can Date the piece to 1930 and according to an ad Dated 1930 the design is the 'ARLINE'.
EDIT: Two photos were inserted here but from off site image hosting. That site no longer is showing the photos, and was instead showing commercial products in place of "lost images". This is why it's important to upload all photos to MyBulova. Otherwise they get "lost" and the thread is hard to follow w/o images. Will
The ID could change if the Case serial number begins with a (mis-struck) 6 and not a Zero
Thank you all for the recent postings. I took the watch to my local watch repair and was told the stem is broken due to rust, and the interior needs cleaning also because of some rust. He suggested it will cost several hundred dollars to repair, not locally. Discusted, I threw (not really) the old watch in a drawer and left it. Does anyone know of a professional repair service I can send it to for an estimate? Before I throw it away I will see if it is worth the cost and effort of repair. Thanks, Rosie
