It appears to be something like ZIROPLAT.  Wondering if that indicated a platinum band.

I would say it does not. If it was platinum it would be very clearly marked as such. I'm guessing ziroplat (if that's what it says) is a type of plating. I did a google search but didn't find anything relevant.

Jeweler told me today that the marking shows the band is 10% platinum plated.
