I just picked up what I believe to be a 1947 Bulova Arnold. The dimensions, dial, color and serial number all seem to match up. I hope the esteem panel will agree with me on this ID.

Unfortunately your watch is not a match for a Arnold, bit it is a match for a 1947 Bulova Aviator, and in particular the "B" variant as per this entry: Bulova 1946 Aviator | myBulova.com
