Belonged to my grandmother. Outside case on face of watch has 4 triangular emeralds. Watch is in working condition. No idea what model or if the Movement # is correct.

Many panel members thought 1929 was a "good" manufacturer date, but record is still listed as 1927? No date code on mvnt that I or owner reports seeing. Solid gold cases and first digit case SN relating to date not a good indicator?
Should we update to 1929 based on panel members comments higher up in thread?
Randomly browsing through the database, I bumped into this watch and your question. Somehow I never got the message so sorry for late reply! The watch is beautiful but "unknown" i.e. we do not have an ad for this one. Case is 14K solid gold with a 960 number placing it in the special series as identified by me from 1927, given the case signature indicating "American Standard". The case signature is the standard case signature of 1926 and 1927 for solid gold models before it changed to a different case signature idnicating "New York" in 1928. Normally the date code for movements in 1927 sits right of the "15 jewels" indication" and left of the winding wheel (third tooth to the left from the one at 12 o'clock). Blowing up the picture, I think I do see a rectangle there for 1927.
