Watch Description

The case is 14K gold filled Bulova American Standard, Pat. Date Jun 19, 1924.  The movement is a 1929 6AF with 15 Jewels.  It runs and keeps time.

There are a number of these in the database like this one:

https://mybulova.com/watches/1928-unknown-11838

All are marked unknown.

Its a nice little watch.  Its cleaner than it looks because these iPhones are so good now that they pick up every little detail.  I don't care if it's a ladies watch. I've been wearing it.  😆

Yes it does seem to match the Unknowns.  Hopefully an ad will come along at some point.

Very similar, indeed....but if you look at the engraving spacing from the crystal there is a big difference. Debutante has the engraving hugging the crystal, while subject watch has a smooth strip in between that also causes a break in the pattern in the crystal corners..

Bumping this for another look. If the case serial number suggests 1927, the movement must be a replacement as it's dtaed 1929.

Also we never reviewed the above advert posted by TexasLady. Unfortunately no date is included.

not sure what the 'CAMELIA' ad is describing when it states 'triangular dial', it's rectangular.

typo?

It's close admin, the lower horizontal engraving on the bezel is throwing Me off, it appears to be swirls not arrow heads?

Yes, I can confirm that those are swirls not arrowheads on the bottom and top. As noted earlier, there is also an awful lot of space between the crystal and the engraving on the bezel.
