We recently found this watch in its original box hidden in our 1918 home. It is 14k white gold and works perfectly. It is indentified as belonging to the original homeowner's wife with her name handwritten on the underside of the lid. All comments are welcome.

There is also the timing when Bulova took up residence in the 5th Avenue location. Prior to that I believe they where in Maiden Lane. This watch is a true piece of Bulova`s history.and should be treasured. The box adds an interesting twist as to how the two came together. Either waythey make a beautiful pair.
These cardboard boxes are becoming harder and harder to find. Other than the name is there anything else on the inside of the box.

I've enhanced the 1922 image of the '954' and the Watch is not the '954', the engraving pattern differs.
Can We get Case dimensions?
Based on the Reverends note the AAI came in 3 varieties. If the '954' housed the 9 ligne variety (based on admins previous observation of ligne size vs model number for those taking notes) the subject could possibly be the '154' if housing the 10 ligne version.
this is good stuff.....

we are meeting with a longtime jeweler in our hometown on Friday. I'm guessing he's in his late 80's and has sold/repaired Bulova watches for many years. His daughter and her family run his store now, but he is stll very active in the business. He personally knew the 2nd owners of our home (we are the 3rd owners) and may have been a guest here many times. It is intiguing to know the watch was here all those years. Other than measuring the case, are there other specific questions I should ask him?
