Another Ebay buy,this one was advertised as non-working, yet it has not stopped since I gave it a little turn of the crown! It came with it's original inner and outer boxes, along with the watch tag label and guarantee, and a sweet little christmas gift tag! After removing the cruddy Speidel band, I gave the watch an all-over polish with my trusty Cape cod cloth, and Lo and Behold, out came this beauty. The face looks really cool, a sort of "cracqeleur" effect to it's ageing and I can't show this in the pics. (shame!) Looked inside and the 10 CSC movement is very clean, and the caseback has 6 jeweller's marks scratched on the inside, indicating fairly regular servicing. All in all a well loved little Bully.

bobbee, you would be amazed at how many people don't realize you have to wind a watch! They think all watches run on batteries! :)

...and I was amazed at one eBay seller who said they didn't know if the vintage 1950's watch worked or not. Said they didn't know how to test it. I emailed seller asking "did you try winding it". Reply was something like "I don't know how to do that". I politely emailed instructions "try turning the little knob on the side...". They thanked me, tried winding, and it didn't run. At first I assumed as Bob states above...maybe they thought all watches run on batteries. However when I checked the sellers past listings and feedback, they had sold hundreds of vintage watches over the years.....so IMO this was their way of avoiding stating the fact that "the watch doesn't run". In retrospect, I should have suggested changing the battery if it didn't run after winding :)

hmmm did you change the band? the ebay listing shows it with a stretch band this looks like leather?
Yup. The band was well worn, Put a croc black on it, now changed it for vintage Bulova brown genuine lizard and it looks amazing, really stoked!
