I didn't buy this one but I noticed it go bye and I think we need to have it added to the database. Looks like a legit variant dial of this model that I haven't seen before. What say you my peeps?
Not an expert but it looks like a redial to me. It's a little messy around the seconds track.
The lines do look very sloppy now that it's that BIG! Haha... the pictures weren't that big in the auction. Just went I cut and pasted them on here. Woof... but yeah... they sure don't look super clean. Though done in the Bulova style of that time for the explosion dial.
Are you sure that is the Ambassador and not an Engineer?

The 1940s Ambassador, Lone Eagle, and Engineer all look alike, but they are not the same size. Case and crystal measurements are required to determine which is which--at least between the Ambassador and Lone Eagle. The Engineer is still a bit of a mystery but believed to be smaller than the Ambassador, like the LE.
The Dial looks legit, no evidence of a redial and the numerals are identcal to the those seen on the multi-colored 'exploding' numeral Dials or era, minus the shadowing.
