The Edwin. I wonder if it has a gold track down the sides?

oh nice one!
Good question admin.
The ad reads 'metal edged mesh strap', do We see any other models with this style band and a Gold trimmed Case?
or
Does the $37.50 retail price fall in line with other Gold trimmed bezel models of the same era?
Richard just might be Edwin's brother!
Here is a metal edged mesh strap by the Spiedel Chain Co. (1920's) that looks like it was made for this watch.

The Edwin dosn't look like it has engraving along the top & bottom, but that scan is not the best quality...

Now why would anyone want an old 1920's NOS watchband when there are all those new fancy exotic modern leather straps available?? ; )

heh
Greg,
What I was trying to elude to in My original post is the band in the ad is described as 'metal' edged, not Gold metal edged and We've seen these woven bands with a White metal edge..
Is the new vintage ad showing / describing a Gold edged or White metal edged band? as it's doubtful a Gold edged band would be placed on a non Gold trimmed Case.
....did the Case come both ways? trimmed in Gold with a Gold trimmed band, not trimmed in Gold with a 'metal edge' band?
ranting once again.
Fifth.
Very interesting! Just curious, how did you acquire this ad Stephen?

Wayne - I think five or six of us stumbled on that ad yesterday AM, which can only mean it's in ONE PLACE.
BTW, a fuzzy copy is in the db right now.....we just never knew what the name REALLY was on that model.
I can't make out the engraving pattern on the sides. Or is it a gold stripe?
